Once in Almaty, there were several legal/administrative things to be done, including: getting her photo taken for her Visa, getting the Visa processed by the US Embassy, having a medical exam conducted, and completing paperwork at our Adoption Agency's office. Throughout it all, Sam was a real trooper. Good in the jolting car (Almaty traffic is like NYC!), patient with waits, and flexible with diaper changes in many different places. We (and others) continued to comment on what an easy-going baby she was!
